The thing I like best about the new year is starting a new planner. All those fresh blank pages ripe with possibility. I always choose one that offers full monthly layouts but this time I bought one with weekly pages too well because I need to be more detailed in time management. One of my most important plans for 2019 is to complete my Masters degree. Proverbs 16 offers several nuggets of wisdom for those making plans. The best counsel is verse 3: Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. How do we commit our plans to God? With prayer. Before I start my day or open my planner I ask God to guide and redirect my intentions and decisions. I declare my surrender and trust to Him the things outside of my control. I ask the Holy Spirit to be my conscience. I remain open to changes while I watch and listen expectantly for a response from Jesus. As we enter this new year, I invite you to plan and join me in 10 days of Prayer Jan 9-19. I’ll be hosting 10min prayer meetings online using Facebook live from 12:30-12:40 daily and a prayer hour at OAC on the Friday evenings. Let’s begin our testimony of how God blessed our plans today!
